Mix flax and water into a bowl; let sit for 5 minutes
Min in remaining ingredients except margarine
Grease an 8 x 8 baking pan; distribute batter
Bake for 25 minutes

This is still a work in progress; it was veganified from the sources
and it doesn't translate perfectly. Currently you get more of a gooey
bar than a cake, but the end result is quite tasty. Either this recipe
needs to be renamed to "almond bar" or some modifications need to be
made. Perhaps longer baking time (the batter puffed up but then
deflated on cooling) or more baking soda. It could also be a little
less sweet; maybe 1/3 cup honey.
