Biscuits
Ingredients
- 1 cup milk
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 2 cups all purpose flour
- 1 tbsp baking power
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 3/4 tsp salt
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter (earth balance sticks work well)
Preparation
- Mix milk and lemon juice; set aside
- Mix together dry ingredients
- Cut butter and work into dry ingredients with your hands
- Gradually pour in milk mixture; mixing as you go
- Flatten dough into 1 inch thick circle
- Cut out biscuits (6-8); place onto cooking sheet
- Bake at 450 for 10-15 minutes (on our oven 12 minutes works well)
